Boarding

Doggie-Kisses

As a veterinary center, we are uniquely equipped to attend to your boarded pet.  Our veterinarian oversees all boarded animals.  If there is any change in the pet’s health, appetite or behavior it will be noticed immediately.  If your pet has special medical needs, you can rest assured that only trained veterinary professionals will be caring for them.  Boarding at ATVC gives you peace of mind knowing your loved one is in good hands.  We will ensure a fun, stress free and healthy experience for your pet during their stay.

Drop off and pick ups can be done anytime from 8 am to 8 pm, seven days a week.  The only days that we will not have drop offs or pick ups are on the holidays that our facilities are closed.  Those holidays include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  We will have staff on premises to care for the animals, but will not be open for business.

Our boarding requirements are listed below.  We may have stricter requirements than other facilities, but this insures our boarders stay healthy, and keeps our facility disease and parasite free.  We even treat our play yard for fleas, ticks and mosquitoes.

Please feel free to drop by, at any time, to see our boarding facilities and meet our staff!

Canine Boarding:

Dogs need to stay active in order to stay fit and mentally healthy. Our facility includes a fenced in play area for plenty of outdoor exercise and socializing.  Our boarded dogs enjoy 10 to 15 minutes of off leash playtime in our fenced yard four times per day.  Unless instructed, each dog is taken out alone to ensure safety.  Our indoor, climate controlled kennels have one area for sleeping and a joining run for eating and playing.  We encourage you to bring items from home such as toys, beds, treats and food.

Our requirements for canine boarders are to be up to date on their rabies vaccine, DA2PP (distemper) vaccine, bordetella vaccine, influenza vaccine, fecal test and must have a flea and tick preventative applied within 30 days.

Feline Boarding:

Cats that vacation with us enjoy a two room loft, with plenty of room to eat, sleep, play and relieve themselves.  Our cat condos are separate from our canine boarders to reduce stress.  We also have a screen door in the room, so they can get fresh air and watch some “outdoor t.v.” without the chance of escaping.  We also use Feliway pheromones to reduce the stress of our feline friends.  We encourage you to bring items from home such as toys, beds, treats and food.
